Step 1; use of the crop tool, to select the image which was originally at an angle. The image was then rotated 90 degrees to be the right way up.
step 2; Use of the brightness and contrast tool. I increased the brightness to +15, and the contrast to +25. This adds definition to the photograph, and improves the colours.
Step 3; next we used the clone stamp, to remove a boat in the picture that was undesirable. we did this by selecting the clone tool, and choosing a patch of water, and holding down the shift key. By then clicking the area of water we wanted, we were able to copy that section of water. once that was copied, you then click on sections of the boat to cover them up with the water
Step 4; next we opened up a small new file, and on colour chooser we chose a skyblue col0ur. Then we went to ‘filter’, ‘render’ and then ‘clouds’ then using the magic wand tool and holding down the shift key, we selected the areas of sky in the photograph, making sure the tolerance was at a suitable level- in this case 10. then we clicked on the clouds sample, copied it and pasted it into the photograph with ‘paste into’. when this was applied, we then altered the opacity and fill of the sky on the layers pallet, to make it look more realistic.
